Define                                                    see Client Access

The Client Access / Define screen is used to establish and update users and groups of users and configure allowed screens and features.

A User ID corresponds to a Guardian User or Safeguard Alias defined on the Tandem server.  A Group ID is a MOMI specific entity used to assign specific settings to one or more User ID's.  A MOMI specific User ID of "NOT LOGGED ON" represents clients that have not logged on.  This User ID essentially defines the capabilities of the client when it initially connects to the server and until (or if) the user logs on.

To change an existing entry, first select if a User ID or Group ID is to be displayed in the upper left hand corner then select the existing entity in the drop-down box.

To add a new User ID, select User ID, enter and name and description and configure the various options.  If a user is to be a member of a group, select the desired group in the drop-down box.

The settings under either a User ID or Group ID are grouped into and System Wide and then screens.  The System Wide area allows the settings of general abilities such as logon.  The screens area has multiple tabs under which screens and features under screens may be configured.

Additional users or groups may be assigned as a Security User.  Additional Security Users, have the same authority as the Default Security User with the exception they may not change certain settings on the Global Settings screen.
